OUR JOURNEY

Think about the most memorable journey you’ve been on. Was it an adventure to a new place, growing in your profession, the journey of parenthood, or overcoming an illness? Each journey shapes us and teaches valuable lessons.

At Mundo Verde, we embrace the concept of a journey to guide our students’ learning. Just as your personal journeys have transformed you, our educational journey transforms our students. The word “travesía” in Spanish signifies a voyage or crossing, evoking a sense of adventure, discovery, and transformation. This is the sentiment we want to evoke for our students at Mundo Verde because learning, like life, is about the journey, the “travesía.”

THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOOK

As you read the pages of this book we hope you gain insights to support your child if you are a parent, grasp the essence of your grade-level expeditions if you are a teacher, have an anchor to lead from if you are a leader, and find inspiration to bring to your own context if you are a visitor. Ultimately, we hope that by reading this book, you take something to shape your own journey in support of a more equitable and sustainable future.
